His Excellency Ahmed Hatem Al Menhali, UAE Ambassador to Mexico, attended a ceremony commemorating and documenting Mexico’s participation at Expo 2020 in Dubai at the National Archives in the presence of His Excellency Marcelo Ebrard, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mexico.
His Excellency Al Menhali delivered a speech highlighting the depth of relations between the two countries and the numerous opportunities for enhancing cooperation in various fields of common interest. His Excellency also congratulated Mexico for winning the Interior Design award during its participation at Expo 2020.
In his speech, His Excellency highlighted the announcement made by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, designating 2023 as the Year of Sustainability and the UAE as hosts of COP28, stressing that the country is pursuing a leading, climate-focused vision for the future, and is investing heavily in renewable energy sources to combat climate change and promote sustainable economic growth.
