Turkish authorities have apprehended ten illegal immigrants in Edirne province, west of Turkiye, as part of the efforts made to counter unlawful immigration. In a statement on Tuesday, authorities in Edirne province, clarified that the illegal immigrants were arrested in Oyuklu village after they had entered the Turkish territories illegally, pointing out that the security forces handed them over to the Presidency of Migration Management for further action against them before deportation. The borders between Turkiye and its European neighbors (Bulgaria and Greece) witness repeated attempts by illegal immigrants to enter the Schengen Area, which includes 26 European countries without border controls. However, the Turkish police use various methods to confront them. Source: Qatar News Agency
