The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the elimination of 6 members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq and Syria. According to a statement issued by the ministry, the Turkish Armed Forces were able to eliminate 3 members of the PKK in northern Iraq as part of the "Claw-Lock" operations. It indicated the elimination of 3 militants from the YPG, the Syrian arm of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), in the Euphrates Shield operation area in northern Syria. On April 17, 2022, the Turkish army launched Operation Claw-Lock against PKK militants in the Metina, Zap and Avashin-Basyan regions in northern Iraq. ( Source: Qatar News Agency
