The security authorities arrested three people of different nationalities for reselling the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ tickets outside the official platforms specified for that and approved by FIFA and the host country, thus violating Article No. 19 of Law No. 10/ 2021.
The Article stipulates (FIFA has the sole and exclusive right to issue, sell, distribute and sell tickets, and it is not permitted to issue, sell, resell, redistribute or exchange tickets without a license from FIFA or its authorized representative).
The concerned authorities call on the public to abide by the laws and procedures in force that regulate the process of reselling tickets to avoid the penalties stipulated in Article 38, paragraph 2 of the same law.
It states that anyone who violates the Ruling of Article 19 / second paragraph of this law shall be punished with a fine of not exceeding QAR 250,000. The penalty shall be multiplied by the number of tickets subject of the violation, and in all cases, the court shall order the confiscation of the violating materials.
The accused have been referred to the competent authorities for further legal procedures followed in this regard.
