The Turkish President: the number of earthquake victims has risen to 21,848 dead and 80,104 injured.

Istanbul / NINA / – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that the number of victims of the earthquake that struck last Monday in the south of the country has risen to 21,848 dead and 80,104 injured.

Erdogan said in a press statement during his visit today to the affected areas in the south of the country: that 460,000 citizens are currently living in schools and educational institutions, and we will provide them with financial support so that they can pay the rents of the houses to which they will move.

He added: The harsh climatic conditions make rescue operations difficult, but they will not hinder us from providing relief to the afflicted, and we will finish removing the rubble as soon as possible and start the process of rebuilding cities.

Erdogan continued: We stopped search and rescue work in Sanliurfa as of Thursday, and began removing the rubble

We are taking all necessary measures to restore life to normal, and we will get out of this disaster as we were able to get out of previous disasters, and we intend to rebuild hundreds of thousands of buildings, and we will start taking concrete steps within a few weeks./ End
