Amman-Qatar’s Jaber Al Fadaaq claimed the gold medal of boys’ epee event at the West Asian U-20 Fencing Championship on Monday.
In the final match, Al Fadaaq defeated Hassan Al Abed of Saudi Arabia.
Moreover, Haya Diyab took the silver medal of girls’ epee event while Lina Al Buenain clinched the bronze medal of foil event.
It is worth mentioning that 150 fencers representing 11 countries – Qatar, Palestine, Oman, Kuwait, Syria, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iraq, Lebanon, and the host Jordan – are taking part in the championship.
