Doha: Syrian President Ahmed Al Sharaa held talks on Thursday with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, who is currently visiting Syria, to discuss bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation across political, economic, and humanitarian fields.

According to Qatar News Agency, the two officials also exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual interest.

The visit comes as Germany seeks to engage with countries in the Middle East on a range of issues, including humanitarian aid and regional stability.
