Doha: The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) has formalized a strategic partnership with the Seashore Group by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing Qatar's sustainability efforts. This collaboration seeks to improve sustainability practices in workplaces and major events across the nation.

According to Qatar News Agency, the partnership will focus on a range of initiatives designed to elevate sustainability awareness and implement best practices. Key areas of collaboration include the introduction of effective waste management and composting solutions and the rollout of environmental awareness campaigns to foster more sustainable workplace practices.

The Supreme Committee stands to gain from the Seashore Group's expertise, particularly through the use of an artificial intelligence-powered recycling application developed by the group. The partnership will also facilitate specialized field visits to identify and explore smarter sustainability practices.

Furthermore, the collaboration aims to extend its impact to major future events hosted by Qatar, with initiatives promoting responsible waste disposal and enhancing environmental awareness among event attendees and the broader community.

Eng Thani Khalifa Al Zarraa, Executive Director of Sustainability and Legacy at the Supreme Committee, emphasized that sustainability remains central to the events organized by the Committee. This partnership aligns with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030 and strengthens the sustainability legacy of such events.

Saqr Saeed Al Mohannadi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at Seashore Group, expressed that the collaboration highlights a shared commitment to supporting the Supreme Committee's track record in organizing world-class events. The Seashore Group is eager to leverage its expertise to support Qatar's ongoing efforts to set a global benchmark for sustainable event hosting.
