Doha: The State of Qatar has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, aiming to enhance cooperation in the field of cybersecurity. This initiative is part of the state visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the United Kingdom. According to Qatar News Agency, the MoU was signed by HE President of the National Cybersecurity Agency Eng. Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Farahid Al Malki on behalf of Qatar, and by Jonathan Allen, the Director General of Defence and Intelligence at the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) of the United Kingdom, representing the British side. The agreement seeks to strengthen bilateral cooperation, facilitate the exchange of expertise, and develop joint capabilities to tackle the increasing challenges in cybersecurity. This collaboration is expected to contribute significantly to the mutual interests of both nations.
