A sitting on cooperation in law enforcement and combating terrorism was held today, Monday, 13 Feb 2023, at the headquarters of the National Counter Terrorism Committee (NCTC) of the Ministry of Interior, on the sidelines of the fifth Qatar US Strategic Dialogue.
HE Maj. Gen. Dr Nasser Saeed Al-Hajri, Vice Chairman of the NCTC, led the Qatari side in the meeting, while HE Christopher Landberg, Acting Coordinator for the Counterterrorism Office at the US Department of State, led the US delegation.
The session discussed the progress made in joint efforts related to combating terrorism and its financing, money laundering and combating violent extremism at the international level, in addition to ways to develop bilateral cooperation in issues of common interest. The meeting also discussed bilateral strong security partnerships in law enforcement, aviation and border security, exchange of information and enhancement of capacity building.
