Sidra Medicine Signs MoU with Qatar International Islamic Bank to Broaden Services

Doha: Sidra Medicine, a member of Qatar Foundation, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB) to explore collaborative pathways that will broaden access to services and create business development opportunities. The MoU was signed between Chief Executive Officer of Sidra Medicine Dr. Iyabo Tinubu-Karch, and Chief Executive Officer of QIIB Dr. Abdulbasit Al Shaibei.

According to Qatar News Agency, CEO at Sidra Medicine Dr. Iyabo Tinubu-Karch remarked that the MoU with QIIB underscores Sidra Medicine's commitment to improving service delivery models and exploring innovative methods to expand access to care. This partnership aims to enhance Sidra Medicine's brand presence in Qatar and extend the reach of the banking sector to patient communities.

QIIB is a privately owned Islamic bank in Qatar, offering personal and corporate Islamic banking solutions. The agreement with Sidra Medicine seeks to establish new access points for patients, including healthcare financing options.

Chief Executive Officer of QIIB Dr. Abdulbasit Ahmad Al Shaibei expressed satisfaction with the partnership, considering it an important milestone in strengthening cooperation with a reputable medical institution. He hopes the collaboration will contribute to providing solutions that offer patients broader options and support the sustainability of medical services. The partnership aligns with the Qatar National Vision 2030, promoting comprehensive development.

Dr. Al Shaibei emphasized QIIB's commitment to societal roles and strategic partnerships that align with the Third Financial Sector Strategic Plan launched by Qatar Central Bank. This plan emphasizes sustainability and financial inclusion, reaffirming QIIB's role in supporting the national economy and contributing to sustainable development goals for the benefit of individuals and the wider community.
