Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh Friday accused Israel of committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, waging war against the Palestinian people, occupying their land and putting Gaza under siege.Shtayyeh said there is a continuing aggression against occupied Jerusalem and invasions of Al Aqsa Mosque.He said during a press conference in Ramallah that entire families died under the rubble after the Israeli bombardment of Gaza, adding that Israel has imposed a comprehensive siege on the Gaza Strip.He explained that Israel cut power on the strip, threatining hospitals of becoming mass graves. Israel also stopped pumping drinking water to Gaza, which is an additional threat to the most basic human needs.Shtayyeh said that today Israel issued a military order to displace the residents of the northern Gaza Strip from Beit Hanoun to the south of the Gaza Valley, and pushed them to the south of the Strip, and at the same time bombed all areas of the south, adding that Israel wants to create a buffer zone fr
ee of residents.He accused the Israeli forces of trying to displace the Palestinians out of Gaza, and this includes more than 2.3 million Palestinians, explaining that this would be a war crime.Shtayyeh noted that President Mahmoud Abbas had contacted His Majesty King Abdullah, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and most of the leaders in the world.He added that Abbas made it clear to the US Secretary of State that “we completely reject this plan [of displacement].”
