Riyadh: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah discussed regional developments and their security and economic implications in a telephone call today with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov. During the call, the two ministers reviewed joint efforts to maintain regional stability, expressing their countries' firm rejection of any escalation of the situation. According to Qatar News Agency, the ministers stressed the importance of continuing ongoing diplomatic efforts to reach a swift and sustainable long-term agreement that addresses all aspects of resolving the crisis.
