Saudi Crown Prince, US Secretary of State Discuss Military Escalation in Gaza

Riyadh, HH Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, held discussions with US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, on the current military escalation in Gaza and its surroundings.

Saudi Crown Prince underscored the significance of finding ways to halt military operations that claimed innocent lives, pointing out that Saudi Arabia is intensifying communication to achieve calm, de-escalate the situation and respect the international humanitarian law, including lifting the siege of Gaza, as well as work to create conditions for the return of stability and restoration of peace track to ensure that Palestinian people regain their legitimate rights and just and enduring peace.

He stressed Saudi Arabia’s rejection of targeting civilians by whatever means or disrupting infrastructure and vital interests that touch their daily life.

Blinken had met his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud who affirmed that Saudi Arabia gives top priority to prevent inn
ocent civilians from being killed due to the persistent cycle of violence, calling on the Israeli entity to abide by the international humanitarian law. He emphasized that any action that contravenes international law and international humanitarian law would exacerbate the current crisis and increase the suffering in that area.
