Saudi Arabia Secures Fourth Arabian Gulf Cup Title with Victory Over UAE

Jeddah:Saudi Arabia triumphed in the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup, defeating the UAE 2-0 in the final at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium.

According to Qatar News Agency, this victory marks Saudi Arabia's fourth Gulf Cup title, matching Iraq as the second most successful team in the tournament's history. The win also ends a 23-year title drought for Saudi Arabia, with previous victories in 1994, 2002, and 2003.

In the decisive match, Hammam Al Hammami scored first for Saudi Arabia in the 11th minute with a shot from outside the penalty area. Just two minutes later, Firas Al Buraikan extended the lead, converting a pass from Nasser Al Dawsari.

Both teams came close to scoring additional goals, with Saudi Arabia's Saleh Abu Al Shamat and the UAE's Nicolas Gimenez and Fabio Lima hitting the woodwork. Despite these near misses, Saudi Arabia maintained their advantage to claim the championship.
