Lower House Speaker, Ahmed Safadi, on Monday received Deputy Speaker of Qatar’s Shura Council, Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti, and the accompanying parliamentary delegation. During the meeting, Safadi affirmed “depth” of the brotherly Jordanian-Qatari relations, lauding their “advanced” level, under directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. Safadi and Al Sulaiti discussed ways to enhance joint parliamentary relations, stressing importance of consultation and coordination of joint parliamentary positions to serve Arab central issues, especially the Palestinian cause. Meanwhile, Al Sulaiti said Qatar supports all sincere efforts to support Palestinian cause, hailing Jordan’s role in this context. Al Sulaiti also said the two countries’ positions steadily aimed to defend the nation’s issues, foremost is the Palestinian cause and Palestinian people’s right to restore their legitimate rights on their national soil.
