Manama, In the presence of HH Shaikh Turki bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa, and HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Vice-President of the Supreme Council for Environment and the Deputy Chairman of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club, the Rashid Club today held the first race for this season, 2021-2022, at its racecourse in Raffa, Sakhir.
Their Highnesses shaikhs and equestrian sport fans also attended the eight-round race which was held over the cups of the late HH Shaikh Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa.
HH Shaikh Turki bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa presented winning owner, Ibrahim Al-Afoo with the season’s opening cup, while HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa crowned owner HH Shaikh Sultanuddin bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, the winner of the seventh round.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa and HH Shaikh Ibrahim bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa presented the trophies of the first round to Abdulla Fawzi Nass, the third round to trainer Allan Smith and sixth round to owner Ali Nasser Al-Moamen.
Meanwhile, HH Shaikh Isa bin Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa crowned trainer James Naylor, the winner of the second round, and trainer Allan Smith, the winner of the fifth round.
