For the second consecutive year, Qatar University (QU) has ranked second in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Arab Region University Rankings 2022.

QU president Dr Hassan Al Derham was presented with an award during a ceremony organized by Quacquarelli Symonds in Dubai, the UAE.

He said that this ranking recognizes the incredible strides QU has made, and represents the culmination of the tremendous efforts made to position the university as a leader in higher education and research. He pointed out that the ranking assures QU’s recent achievement in the QS World University Ranking as the institution moved from 224 in 2022 to 208 in the 2023 edition, effectively improving 16 places.
