QSE Index Rises by 27.61 Points at Start of Trading


Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) experienced an increase of 27.61 points, or 0.27%, at the beginning of trading on Tuesday, reaching 10,431 points compared to the previous close.



According to Qatar News Agency, the rise in the QSE index was bolstered by positive performances in five sectors. The Transportation sector saw an increase of 1.09%, Industrials rose by 0.29%, Consumer Goods and Services climbed by 0.26%, Real Estate improved by 0.24%, and Banks and Financial Services advanced by 0.22%. Meanwhile, the Insurance and Telecoms sectors both experienced declines of 0.17%.



By 10:00 am, the trading volume had reached a total of 51.017 million shares exchanged in 3,116 transactions, with a total value of QR 96.906 million.
