QSE Index Gains 40.39 Points at Start of Trading

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced an increase of 40.39 points, or 0.39%, as trading commenced on Thursday, reaching a level of 10,513 points. This rise comes in comparison to the closing figures of the previous session and was supported by positive performances across all sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, market data revealed that the Insurance sector led the gains with an increase of 0.97%. This was followed by the Real Estate sector, which rose by 0.67%, and Industrials with a gain of 0.49%. The Telecoms sector improved by 0.46%, while Banks and Financial Services saw a rise of 0.39%. Transportation and Consumer Goods and Services sectors also posted gains of 0.17% and 0.05%, respectively.

By 10:00 am, the trading turnover was recorded at QAR 46.346 million, with 21.894 million shares being exchanged through 3,376 transactions.
