QSE Index Drops 66.47 Points at Start of Trading

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index dropped 66.47 points, or 0.63%, at the start of Thursday's trading, down to 10,545 points compared to the previous session's closing.

According to Qatar News Agency, the market was weighed down by declines in all sectors: Transportation (-0.21%), Insurance (-0.30%), Real Estate (-0.71%), Banks and Financial Services (-0.52%), Consumer Goods and Services (-0.54%), Industrials (-0.86%), and Telecoms (-1.51%).

By 10:00 am, QSE reported a turnover of QR 155.683 million, with 42.655 million shares traded in 5,217 transactions.
