QSE Index Drops 16.17 Points at Start of Trading

The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) dropped 16.17 points, or 0.16%, at the beginning of Thursday’s trading to reach the level of 10,171 points, compared to yesterday’s closing.

The performance of QSE general index was weighed down by a decline in Transportation by 0.50%; Industrials by 0.48%; Real Estate by 0.12%; and Bank and Financial Services by 0.01%. Meanwhile, the performance of Consumer Goods and Services was stable at 0.00%, and there was a rise in Insurance by 1.06%; and Telecoms by 0.23%.

At 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded 1,841 transactions worth QR 52.604 million, distributed to 10.171 million shares.
