The Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (QPO) will hold a concert featuring some of Georges Bizet and Franz Schubert’s most distinguished works on Friday at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) at 7:30 p.m.

The concert will highlight Bizet’s Suites No. 1 and No. 2 from the famous opera Carmen, one of the greatest operas of the 19th century.

It will conclude with Schubert’s Symphony No. 9 in C Major, also known as Great C Major. The piece, which is Schubert’s final orchestral work, is described as “pure musical majesty.” The Philharmonic will be led by inspired German conductor Elias Grandy.
