QFA HOLDS 2ND DIVISION MEDIA DAY

Doha: The Qatar Football Association (QFA), under the supervision of its Marketing and Communication Department, will organize the media day for the teams participating in the Second Division League, on Sunday, August 21, at Abdullah Bin Suhaim Hall at Qatar Sports Club. This comes a few days before the kick-off of the new 2022-23 season on the 26th of August with the game between Al Khor and Al Waab.

The media day activities for the eight clubs will be held from 9 AM until 1 PM, and the order will be as follows: Al-Kharaitiyat, Al-Khor, Lusail, Al-Waab, Al-Bidda, Mesaimeer, Al-Shahania, and finally Muaither. The referees will be photographed from 1 PM to 2 PM.

The media day activities include photoshoots for players and technical staff, along with interviews and media sessions. These images and information will be used during the new season for marketing activities, advertising campaigns, television broadcasts and production.

The QFA’s Marketing and Communication Department will also provide each club with a copy of the team’s photos and other materials for use in any upcoming marketing or promotional activities during the new season.

The Second Division League generates media interest as it is one of the most important tournaments organised by the QFA annually, and a strong competiton is expected between the teams this year as well, with improvement in the technical level that will in turn increase the enthusiasm from the media.

All other matters related to the media have been previously explained to the clubs, with an emphasis on the importance of facilitating the role of the media.

All of these measures will undoubtedly contribute to the advancement of the competition at all levels, and there will be full coordination with the clubs in terms of media and marketing aspects to ensure this.
