QCSF Unveils 2026-2027 Collegiate Sports Schedule

Doha: Marking the International Day of University Sport, the Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation (QCSF) has announced its calendar of activities for the 2026-2027 sports season. The season will feature 22 competitions across 12 sports, involving both male and female students at educational and higher education institutions across the country.

According to Qatar News Agency, the calendar forms part of the Federation's efforts to promote sports within the educational and university community, broaden participation, and provide students with more chances to compete in a range of individual and team sports. Running from October 2026 through May 2027, the season's competitions will include padel, cricket, volleyball, table tennis, football, chess, cross-country, futsal, esports, swimming, basketball, and shooting.

HE QCSF President and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, stated that work is being done to make sports an integral part of education and university life, offering students more opportunities to participate and compete. QCSF Secretary-General, Rashid Saeed Al Odaiba, emphasized that the inclusion of 22 competitions across 12 sports demonstrates the Federation's commitment to expanding student participation opportunities.

The announcement of the new calendar coinciding with the International Day of University Sport highlights the importance of sports in fostering student connections, enhancing educational experiences, and making sports a key component of student life. Throughout the season, the Federation will continue collaborating with educational and sports bodies across Qatar, contributing to the development of university sports and expanding participation.
