QCDC and QFSW Partner to Enhance Career Development in Social Work Sector

Doha: Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), an initiative of Qatar Foundation, and the Qatar Foundation for Social Work (QFSW) have formalized their collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing career guidance and development within the social work ecosystem. The agreement, signed by Saad Abdulla Al Kharji, Executive Director of QCDC, and Khalid bin Mohammed Al Kuwari, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of QFSW, signifies a commitment to strengthening capacity building and cooperation between the two organizations.

According to Qatar News Agency, the signing ceremony took place at Education City and laid the groundwork for the integration of QCDC's career development expertise with QFSW's mission to support civil society organizations. The partnership will focus on creating specialized training programs and workshops for employees of both entities and centers affiliated with QFSW. These initiatives will be tailored to meet the specific needs of QFSW's beneficiaries, with an emphasis on skill enhancement, career readiness, and clear career pathways.

The MoU outlines provisions for career advisory support and technical expertise, such as training needs analysis, skills assessment, and career pathway design. It also paves the way for knowledge exchange and joint efforts in organizing conferences, seminars, workshops, and training programs. A joint committee has been established to oversee the implementation of the MoU, ensuring progress and addressing potential challenges.

Al Kharji highlighted the significance of the partnership, stating that it reflects QCDC's belief in career development as a pivotal tool for institutional strengthening and social impact. He emphasized the collaboration's potential to provide individuals with the guidance necessary to make informed career decisions and contribute positively to Qatar's future.

Al Kuwari echoed these sentiments, noting that the MoU is a crucial step toward enhancing institutional cooperation in career guidance and professional development. He pointed out that the joint initiatives will bolster national competencies and improve service quality across QFSW's affiliated centers, aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the country's sustainable social development goals.

The agreement underscores both organizations' dedication to human capital development and supporting lifelong career readiness, contributing to the broader objectives of Qatar's national vision.
