Qatar’s Salah Younes Wins the 100m Race at Stratford Speed GP

Doha: Qatari national athletics team sprinter Salah Younes claimed first place in the 100m at the Stratford Speed GP in the UK today. Salah clocked 10.13 seconds, breaking his previous personal best and recording his fastest time of the season.

According to Qatar News Agency, the 21-year-old sprinter had previously recorded a time of 10.23 seconds at the Asian U23 Athletics Championships in Ordos, China, last July. His victory in the 100m, coupled with a new personal best, represents a significant step forward as he prepares for the major challenge of competing at the Asian Games in Japan next month.

Salah also competes in the 200m, his other discipline, where he continues to make steady progress under the program established by the Qatar Athletics Federation to prepare its sprinters for upcoming competitions.
