Qatar’s Pioneering Role in ALECSO Activities Highlighted by Director-General.

Doha: HE Director-General of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar commended the State of Qatar's cooperation and its great and distinguished partnership with ALECSO in all its tasks and areas of work. Qatar, a founding member of the organization, actively implements ALECSO's activities and programs, marking a distinctive relationship between the two sides. According to Qatar News Agency, Dr. Ould Amar noted that Qatar currently holds the position of Vice-Chair of ALECSO's Executive Council for the next session (2024-2026). Qatar is an active partner through its educational and cultural initiatives, including organizing a conference on Arabian horses and an opera forum, the first of its kind in the Arab region, in partnership with the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara). These activities will culminate in the Conference of Arab Ministers of Education in Doha next January. Dr. Ould Amar emphasized Qatar's significant achievements in education and cu lture, serving as a model for other Arab nations. These accomplishments, driven by determination and leadership, offer valuable lessons for other countries to harness and replicate. He highlighted the importance of Qatar's contributions to the education and culture sectors, noting the country's support for ALECSO's mission to unite Arab nations through shared activities and goals. The upcoming events hosted by Qatar reinforce this commitment. Regarding the Arab Mathematics Olympiad hosted by Qatar from Nov. 10-14, Dr. Ould Amar pointed out ALECSO's goals of nurturing future Arab innovators and fostering positive competition among students. The event's success is marked by the participation of all Arab countries, showcasing Qatar's organizational excellence and hospitality.
