Qatar’s Embassies and Consulates Celebrate Qatar National Day

The diplomatic, consular, and representative missions of the State of Qatar abroad celebrated the national day that coincides with Dec.18 each year, in commemoration of the memory of the founder of the State of Qatar Sheikh Jassim Bin Mohammed Bin Thani.

Their Excellencies and Heads of the diplomatic, consular, and representative missions of the State of Qatar abroad availed themselves of this opportunity to extend assurances of their highest considerations to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HH The Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and all the people of the State of Qatar on this auspicious occasion wishing the State of Qatar further progress and prosperity.

The Qatari diplomatic celebrations in the capitals and cities of the world received high-level official and popular participations that reflected Qatar’s distinct relations with the world countries.

In Riyadh, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Bandar bin Muhammad Al Attiyah held a ceremony on the occasion of the national day for the State of Qatar in the presence of HRH Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh Province, HE Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf Dr. Nayef Falah M. Al-Hajraf, HE Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Eng. Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al Khuraiji, HE Minister of Interior Dr. Nasser bin Abdul Aziz Al-Dawood, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Consular Affairs Tamim bin Majid Al Dossary, HE Chair of the Qatari-Arab Parliamentary Friendship Group Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Jarbaa, HE Chairman of the Saudi-Qatari Joint Business Council Hamad Bin Ali Al-Shuwaier, along with a host of Their Highnesses princes and senior officials in various government entities and private sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, employees of the General-Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to the Kingdom, as well as dignitaries in the regions of the Kingdom, businessmen and citizens of the State of Qatar residing in Riyadh.

The ceremony was punctuated by a wide range of activities, including screening video clips about the State of Qatar’s hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

On the sidelines of the ceremony, a plastic arts corner was held, in which the painter Noura Hammoud participated, and showcased paintings that expressed Arab history, along with the artist Muhammad Bakathir who participated by displaying an art painting on the State of Qatars organization of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, while the attendees of the ceremony congratulated the State of Qatar on its outstanding success in Tournament organization.

In Kuwait, The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Kuwait organized a ceremony on the occasion of the national day in the presence of HE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, HE Speaker of the National Assembly Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Sadoun, HE Chief of Crown Prince Diwan Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, along with a host of governors, members of the National Assembly, officials and senior dignitaries in the country, including their Excellencies the ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council states, and a number of heads and representatives of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to Kuwait.

In Islamabad, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan organized a ceremony in the Embassy’s headquarters on the occasion of the national day in the presence of prominent figures in the community, a host of opinion leaders and members of the mission, military attache and local staff.

In his remarks delivered on this occasion, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Pakistan Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani affirmed that the national day of the State of Qatar is an auspicious occasion that reflects the cohesion of the people of the State of Qatar, and demonstrates the meanings of pride in the homeland and loyalty to the ancestors and their eternal sacrifices, and pride in the wise leadership.

He said that the slogan of the national day for the year 2022 “Our unity is source of our strength” underscores the approach of the people of Qatar based on synergy, cohesion and solidarity to counter the challenges and achieve goals, in addition to the major accomplishments the State of Qatar has achieved in the political, diplomatic, economic, sports, health, educational and other fields, and chart a bright picture for the future of the State of Qatar.

His Excellency pointed out that Qatar’s hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament has demonstrated the civilized identity of the state, including its economic, security and administrative abilities, as well as gathering the nations and uniting the feelings, underlining that it is possible for the world to unite for the sake of countering the challenges that threaten humanity.

His Excellency noted the contributions made by the State of Qatar in pursuit of resolving the regional and international issues, along with its proactive action in responding to the global crises, such as food security, energy security, Corona pandemic and others, in addition to its endeavors to enhance the cultural and civilized openness among world nations and its contributions to bolstering international peace and security through mediation to settle the conflicts by peaceful means and support the development and stability projects in various countries.

HE the Ambassador said that the relations between Qatar and Pakistan witnesses a constant growth, which grants the confidence to proceed with its prosperity in the coming years, adding that this was reflected in the exchanged visits that have largely boosted the cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

In Berlin, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Federal Republic of Germany held a ceremony on the occasion of the State’s National Day.

The ceremony that was held at the Arab Cultural House “Al Diwan” was attended by a host of German senior political and economic personalities, including head of the political sector at the German Federal Foreign Office Christian Bock, the Special Envoy for Libya of the Federal Foreign Office “Honor guest” and Head of Middle East Division at the Federal Foreign Office Gregory Bledjian, along with a host of Their Excellences heads and representatives of the Arab and foreign missions and military attaches accredited to Germany.

In The Hague, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Kingdom of the Netherlands held a ceremony on the occasion of the National Day of the State, attended by senior officials of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a host of ambassadors and diplomats accredited to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and some public figures, in addition to the embassy staff of diplomats and employees. The guests of the embassy expressed their wishes for the State of Qatar for further progress and prosperity.

In Athens, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Hellenic Republic organized a ceremony on the occasion of Qatar National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE Deputy Minister for Economic Diplomacy and Openness at the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs Kostas Fragoyiannis, HE Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports Lefteris Avgenakis and Directors of departments at the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as several of Their Excellencies heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to Greece, prominent figures from the Greek society, and diplomats and embassy staff.

On this occasion, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Greece Waleed bin Mohammed Al Emadi said that the slogan of the country’s 2022 National Day reflects the solidarity and cohesion of the Qatari people, which are expressed through their loyalty to ancestors and pride in their homeland and its leadership.

His Excellency stressed that the State of Qatar has achieved major achievements over the past years in the political, diplomatic, economic, sports, health and education fields – consolidating its distinguished position among peoples.

He highlighted the high significance of the country’s celebration of its 2022 National Day, explaining that it coincides with the country’s hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 for the first time in an Arab country, to share the unity and culture of Qatari people to the world and enable visitors to learn about Qatari history and culture associated with Arab values.

HE Ambassador of Qatar to Greece reviewed bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the Hellenic Republic. He pointed out diplomatic ties between the two countries that began in 2007, stressing that relations are witnessing tangible prosperity in various fields.

His Excellency reaffirmed the State of Qatar’s commitment to work on enhancing cooperation and developing joint work to ensure a better future for the peoples of the two friendly countries, pointing out the common heritage, cultural exchange and communication, and historical ties between the Qatari and Greek peoples.

In Montevideo, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Eastern Republic of Uruguay organized a ceremony on the occasion of Qatar National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE Uruguayan Minister of Tourism Tabare Viera Duarte, HE Minister of Health Daniel Salinas, HE Member of the Uruguayan Chamber of Senators Sebastian Da Silva, former Minister of Foreign Affairs Enrique Iglesias, HE First Lady of Uruguay Lorena Ponce de Leon, and several heads and representatives of government institutions, in addition to senior military leaders and officials in Uruguay, heads of Arab and foreign missions accredited to Uruguay, prominent social and religious figures, community leaders and businesspersons, and Qatar’s Acting Charge d’Affaires in Uruguay Ahmad Ibrahim Al Mohannadi.

In Mexico, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the United Mexican States organized a ceremony on the occasion of Qatar National Day.

The ceremony, which was organized at the headquarters of the embassy, was attended by several ranking officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Mexican government, Their Excellencies heads of diplomatic missions of the GCC countries, Arab and Islamic countries, and several heads and representatives of European countries’ missions accredited to Mexico, in addition to community figures.

In his speech on the occasion of Qatar National Day, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Mexico Mohammed bin Jassim Al Kuwari highlighted the meaningful message that the National Day carries and Qatar’s impressive success in hosting the FIFA Qatar World Cup 2022, pointing out the Mexican fans’ enthusiasm during the World Cup, and their remarkable and rapid integration into the Arab and Qatari culture. His Excellency also reviewed the course of bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the United Mexican States, and ways to strengthen and develop them.

In Bangkok, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Thailand organized a ceremony on the occasion of Qatar National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE Privy Councilor of HM Thai King Chirayu Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya, several senior government officials, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited to Thailand, community figures, representatives of Qatari companies, and several Qatari citizens in Thailand.

In his speech on this occasion, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Thailand Ahmed bin Ali Al Tamim said that the National Day is an opportunity to renew loyalty and belonging, and to reaffirm the approach of the State of Qatar and its major achievements in the political, economic, sports, health, and educational fields, which reflects the solidarity and cohesion between the wise leadership and the loyal citizens.

His Excellency highlighted the high significance of the country’s celebration of its 2022 National Day, which coincides with the country’s hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, adding that it has given a civilized impression of the state, its economic, security and administrative capabilities, and its clear achievements in various fields.

In Pretoria, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of South Africa organized a ceremony on the occasion of Qatar National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga and several of representatives of the South African Ministry of Foreign Affairs, government institutions, and heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to South Africa, in addition to community figures, and embassy staff and their families.

On behalf of the government of the Republic of Africa, HE Ministry of Basic Education extended her congratulations to the government and people of Qatar, expressing her pride in the level of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which were established in 1994 – when South Africa has become a democracy. In this regard, Her Excellency shed light on the State of Qatar’s great support for South Africa in international forums, as well as its support for the struggle of southern Africans for liberation, stressing that Qatar and South Africa share visions on many regional and international issues, and have great economic and cultural ties.

For his part, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to South Africa Tariq Ali Faraj Al Ansari said that the National Day is a day of pride for the Qatari people in their pioneering history of sacrifices and achievements.

He pointed out that the slogan of this year’s National Day embodies the unlimited courage and determination that the Qatari people have always shown since the founding of the state, particularly because Qatar’s 2022 National Day coincides with the country’s hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which makes it distinctly special, in addition to the country’s contribution to spreading the values, culture and traditions of the Qatari people, and consolidating them as a sustainable legacy for the homeland.

His Excellency said that the bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of South Africa have witnessed cooperation over the past two decades, pointing out the importance of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

His Excellency also reviewed the capabilities of the State of Qatar and its National Vision 2030, as well as the various strategies aimed at diversifying sources of income and the significance of sports diplomacy, stressing that sports is a powerful tool for advancing the 2030 sustainable development plan, especially in the fields of education, health and economic development.

In Kathmandu, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to Nepal organized a celebration on the occasion of Qatar’s National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE Vice President of Nepal Nanda Bahadur Pun, HE Speaker of the House of Representatives Agni Prasad Sapkota, HE Minister of Education, Science, and Technology Devendra Paudel, HE Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Jeevan Ram Shrestha, HE Minister of Women, Children and Senior Citizens (Uma) Amkatna Regmi, and HE Minister of Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, HE Minister of Health and Population Bhawani Khapung, in addition to a number of senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government, as well as political and military leaders in Nepal. Additionally, heads and representatives of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions, international organizations accredited to Nepal, and a number of businessmen and personalities the society also attended the celebration.

During the ceremony, the opening video of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 was screened, with the guests praising the State of Qatars organization of an exceptional tournament.

The Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Karachi in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan organized a ceremony on the occasion of Qatar’s National Day.

HE the Consul General Mishaal bin Mohamed Ali Al Ansari, and the Third Secretary at the Consulate Fahad Ghanem Al Sahlawi received the guests and senior officials in the province of Sindh and Balochistan, led by HE Chief Minister of the Sindh province Murad Ali Shah as a guest of honor, HE Governor of Sindh Muhammad Kamran khan Tessori, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a number of regional ministers and members of the provincial parliament, military and security leaders, Their Excellencies the Arab and foreign consuls accredited to Karachi, Qatari students, a number of businessmen and state companies operating in Pakistan and community leaders.

The celebration ceremony included a variety of activities, including the establishment of a special pavilion in the concert hall to distribute introductory publications in the country, the screening of documentaries highlighting Qatars wholistic development, as well as the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Stadiums, receiving the guests praise, enthusiasm and happiness for the economic, urban, cultural and social development in the country.

For their part, Qatari companies investing in Pakistan: Qatar Airways, Muntajat (Qatar Chemical and Petrochemical Marketing and Distribution Company Q.P.J.S.C.), Pak-Qatar Takaful insurance company organized special pavilions at the venue of the ceremony, which reviewed their activities and contributions to the economic and service development in Pakistan.

HE the Consul General of the State of Qatar in Karachi Mishaal bin Mohamed Ali Al Ansari thanked the attendees, while the speeches delivered on the occasion expressed the Karachi officials wishes to the State of Qatar to undergo continuous development, progress and prosperity.

In Tripoli, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the State of Libya held a ceremony on the occasion of the country’s National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE the Head of the Libyan Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dabaiba, a number of ministers, the Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army Mohamed Al Haddad, HE the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Libya Abdoulaye Bathily and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), in addition to a number of officials, members of parliament, mayors, heads and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Libya, representatives of political parties and international organizations, as well as a number of media businessmen.

In his speech on this occasion, HE the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the State of Libya Khalid Mohammed bin Zabin Al Dosari referred to the State of Qatars achievements in many fields, under the wise leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the leader of these achievements, development, and bright future.

HE the Ambassador said that this years National Day celebration is special, as it coincides with the hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, indicating that the two events constitute a real opportunity to highlight Qatars unity and culture to the entire world, introducing it to Qatars history, identity and pride in its Arab and Islamic values.

The Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Munich in the Federal Republic of Germany organized a celebration on the occasion of Qatars National Day.

The ceremony was attended by the representative of the President of the Government of the State of Bavaria HE Dr. Markus Soeder, HE Dr. Rainer Hutka, Ministerial Director of the Department of International Relations and Consular Affairs of the Government of the State of Bavaria, in addition to German political, economic, cultural, intellectual and scientific figures, and members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic corps accredited to the city of Munich, along with a number Qatari citizens and members of the Arab and Islamic communities in Germany.

In a speech at the ceremony, HE Consul General of the State of Qatar in Munich Radi bin Saweed Al Ajmi praised the close relation between the State of Qatar and the Federal Republic of Germany in general and the state of Bavaria in particular, as well as the volume of trade, economic exchange and huge investments between the two friendly countries.

His Excellency referred to the many accomplishments achieved by the State of Qatar at the international level, pointing to the coinciding of the National Day with the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the tournament which attracted a remarkable attendance of fans from all over the world, indicating the State of Qatars keenness on building bridges of communication between peoples through sports.

In turn, the guest of honor, HE Dr. Hutka stressed the depth of relations between the State of Qatar and the state of Bavaria in all fields, wishing further progress and prosperity for the State of Qatar on its National Day, and praising the development witnessed by the State of Qatar and its hosting of the World Cup.

In Astana, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Kazakhstan held a ceremony on the occasion of the State’s National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Adil Tursunov, as a guest of honor on behalf of the government, in addition to a number of dignitaries and officials in Kazakhstan, heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions, business leaders and journalists.

In Abuja, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Federal Republic of Nigeria held a celebration on the occasion of the Qatar’s National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE Nigerian Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development Pauline Talen, HE Regional Director at the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Mustapha Tunde and representative of the Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, a number of government officials, political and military leaders, and heads of diplomatic missions, international organizations and bodies accredited to Nigeria.

In Canberra, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to Australia organized a celebration on the occasion of the country’s National Day. The ceremony was attended by a number of government officials, heads and members of diplomatic missions to Australia.

In Naypyidaw, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar held a ceremony on the occasion of the country’s National Day. The ceremony was attended by HE Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs (Guest of Honor), along with a number of officials of the Myanmar Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in addition to a number of heads and members of diplomatic missions, businessmen, heads of sports clubs, intellectuals and culture in Myanmar.

In a speech at the ceremony, the Charge d’Affairs to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Dr. Rashid bin Abdullah Al Kuwari, stressed the importance of celebrating the National Day, which coincides with the State of Qatar’s hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which demonstrated the civilized identity of the State of Qatar, in addition to its economic, security and administrative capabilities and its clear achievements in all fields.

He added that this unique and inspiring experience belongs to all humanity, as the World Cup in Qatar brought together peoples and united feelings, and confirmed that the world can unite to face the major challenges that threaten all humanity.

In Bishkek, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Kyrgyz Republic held a ceremony on the occasion of the State’s National Day. The ceremony was attended by HE First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Asein Isaev, HE Deputy Minister of Justice Uzbek Sadykov, HE Deputy Minister of Health Ulan Sadykov, and a number of officials, parliamentarians, heads of diplomatic missions and representatives of international organizations accredited in Bishkek, in addition to a number of businessmen and journalists.

In a speech at the ceremony, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kyrgyz Republic Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Sulaiti, referred to the great achievements made by the State of Qatar in the political, diplomatic, economic, sports, health and educational fields.

His Excellency talked about the importance of celebrating the National Day and its coincidence with the State of Qatar’s hosting of the World Cup, and said that the two events highlight the culture of the people of Qatar to the world.

For his part, HE the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, in a speech at the ceremony, congratulated the State of Qatar on the occasion of the National Day, and noted the development of bilateral relations between the two countries. His Excellency praised Qatar’s hosting of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar at a high level, and thanked Qatar Charity for implementing a number of projects in the social, health and education fields.

In Vienna, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Austria held a ceremony on the occasion of the country’s National Day. The ceremony was attended by a number of officials from the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the United Nations Center in Vienna, in addition to Their Excellencies the ambassadors of Arab and foreign countries accredited to Austria, and representatives of various official political, parliamentary, diplomatic, economic and media institutions.

HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Federal Republic of Austria and Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations and international organizations in Vienna Sultan bin Salmeen Al Mansoori, said in a speech at the ceremony that the celebration of the National Day reflects the meanings of pride in the homeland and loyalty to the ancestors and fathers and their immortal sacrifices, and pride in the wise leadership of the leader of the march of achievements, development and a prosperous future, HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

His Excellency stressed the depth and strength of the Qatari-Austrian relations, and the remarkable development they have achieved since their establishment some 47 years ago until now, referring to the mutual visits of senior officials of the two friendly countries.

His Excellency added that the celebration this year is different from previous years, as it coincides with the global event of the State of Qatar hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and His Excellency stressed that the tournament showed the civilized identity of the State of Qatar and its economic, security and administrative capabilities, and its clear achievements in all fields.

In Mumbai, the Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Mumbai, Republic of India, organized a ceremony on the occasion of the State’s National Day. The ceremony was attended by HE Chief Protocol of the Maharashtra State Government, a number of officials and parliamentarians, heads of accredited consular missions, business leaders and media professionals.

In Bucharest, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to Romania held a ceremony on the occasion of the State’s National Day. The ceremony was attended by HE Acting President of the Senate Alina Gorghiu, HE Lucian Rumashcanu, Minister of Culture, HE Luminita Odobescu, Advisor to the Romanian Presidency, HE Traian Lauren?iu Hristea, Secretary of State for Global Affairs and Diplomatic Strategies, HE Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee in the Senate, and a number of officials and representatives in Romania.

In Manila, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Philippines organized a ceremony on the occasion of the country’s National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE Eduardo Jose de Vega, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Migrant Workers Affairs (guest of honor), and HE Alfonso Ver, Assistant Secretary of State of the Philippines for Middle East and African Affairs, in addition to a number of officials in the Government of the Philippines, and heads and members of the accredited diplomatic and consular corps.

In Singapore, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Singapore organized a ceremony on the occasion of the country’s National Day. The ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Labor Dr. Ali bin Saeed bin Smaikh Al Marri, HE Senior Minister of State at the Ministry of Environment and Sustainability and the Ministry of Transport Dr. Amy Khor, a number of deputies and officials in Singapore, as well as heads and members of diplomatic missions, and a number of Qatari citizens and institutions in Singapore.

In a speech at the ceremony, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Singapore Saoud bin Jassim Al-Jufairi, touched on the achievements of the State of Qatar in international forums, hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar, and affirmed his happiness on the depth and development of Qatari-Singapore relations.

In her speech at the ceremony, HE Dr. Amy Khor congratulated the State of Qatar on the National Day, and praised the strength of the relations between the two countries, and expressed the appreciation and pride of the Republic of Singapore in the relations with the State of Qatar.

In Washington, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the United States of America held a celebration on the occasion of the State’s National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Communications of Cuba Mayra Arevich Marin, as a guest of honor, and a number of officials, in addition to members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic corps, and representatives of international organizations of the United Nations accredited in the Republic of Cuba.

In Baku, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Azerbaijan held a celebration on the occasion of the State’s National Day. The ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, representing the government of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a number of government officials, members of parliament, heads and representatives of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to Azerbaijan, representatives of United Nations offices residing in Baku, in addition to a number of businessmen, journalists, academics and intellectuals.

HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Azerbaijan Faisal bin Abdullah Al Hanzab referred in his speech, to the comprehensive renaissance witnessed by the State of Qatar in recent years at all social, economic and political levels, pointing out that it occupies a prominent position regionally and internationally, and noted that the celebration of this year were of particular importance as it coincided with the State of Qatar’s hosting of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.

In Jakarta, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Indonesia held a celebration on the occasion of the state’s National Day. The ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Investment Bahlil Lahadalia, who is also the Chairman of the Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board. He was representing the Indonesian government. There were also a number of senior government officials, parliamentarians, members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic and military corps accredited to the Republic of Indonesia, in addition to businessmen, media, culture and athletes who attended the event.

In San Salvador, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of El Salvador organized a celebration on the occasion of the state’s National Day. The ceremony was attended by a number of ministers and officials in El Salvador.

In New York, the permanent delegation of the State of Qatar to the United Nations and the Consulate General of the State of Qatar in New York, held a ceremony on the occasion of the country’s National Day. The ceremony was attended by HE President of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (guest of honor) Csaba Korosi , a number of permanent delegates, ambassadors of Member States and senior officials of United Nations bodies.

HE the Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, along with HE Consul General of the State of Qatar in New York Mohammed bin Sultan Al Kuwari, received the invitees, who represented a large crowd of diplomatic, political and media personalities.

On this day, the State of Qatar celebrates its history, inclusiveness, solidarity and unity, as well as its promise and the unlimited potential of its people, HE Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani said in her speech while welcoming the attendees.

Her Excellency highlighted HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani’s speech at the opening ceremony that welcomed all those who visited Qatar from all around the world to participate in the first-ever World Cup to be held in the Middle East and the Arab region.

The championship highlighted the hospitality, spirit and enthusiasm of the Qatari people, and assured that the State of Qatar fulfilled its promise in 2010 to leave a lasting legacy for the State of Qatar and the Middle East, Her Excellency said.

His Excellency Csaba Korosi extended his congratulations to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and to the government and people of the State of Qatar on the occasion of the National Day.

It was not long ago when Qatar promised to achieve future development, and although miracles do not always happen or come true, but with the State of Qatar turned the dream into a reality, His Excellency said in his speech, expressing his happiness at celebrating the National Day of the State of Qatar.

This country has turned into an active and vital member of the international community, as it played an important role in mediation and conflict resolution, and its role exceeded its regional borders, His Excellency said, stressing that the State of Qatar turned into a model for finding solutions to become an advanced country in the region and pursuing achieving its 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

The screens at the celebration hall displayed the atmosphere of the matches and 3D models of stadiums that blended the National Day celebrations with the World Cup atmosphere.

The large turnout at the celebration of the National Day reflected the State of Qatar’s prestige and appreciation in New York and the United Nations. The celebration of the National Day this year was also of a special nature, as it paved the way for the largest demonstration in the State of Qatar, which is the wonderful organization of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which coincides with the World Cup final.

In Geneva, the permanent delegation of the State of Qatar to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva organized a ceremony on the occasion of the State’s National Day.

The ceremony was attended by a number of high-level personalities, including directors of the United Nations specialized agencies in Geneva, many ambassadors and delegates of permanent delegations accredited to the United Nations, government officials, representatives of local and international media, and personalities from various other fields.

HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations in Geneva, Dr Hind bint Abdul Rahman Al Muftah said in a speech on this occasion that the activities of this year’s National Day are held under the slogan “Our Unity is the Source of Our Strength”, which emphasizes the unity of the Qatari people and their permanent solidarity behind their wise leadership to address all challenges and hardships, reviewing the march of renaissance in Qatar and the multi-field achievements, including the political, diplomatic, economic, sports, health and educational fields.

Her Excellency noted that this year’s National Day celebration is of particular importance because it coincides with the State of Qatar’s hosting of the World Cup, which highlighted and strengthened the civilizational and cultural identity of the State of Qatar and its economic, security and administrative capabilities and clear achievements, through which it affirmed pride in its Arab and Islamic values and keenness to consolidate traditions through remarkable interaction between fans and visitors with and the Qatari culture.

This distinguished tournament brought together the peoples of the world in the State of Qatar and united the different feelings, Her Excellency said, stressing that the world can unite to face the major challenges that threaten all humanity.

Al Muftah stressed that the Qatari people, generation after generation, will move forward on the path to complete the construction process, thanks to the wise leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

In Cairo, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Arab Republic of Egypt held a ceremony on the occasion of the country’s National Day and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The ceremony was attended by HE Prime Minister of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly in addition to about 14 ministers, including ministers of finance, supply, industry and trade, justice, social solidarity and agriculture, former ministers, accredited ambassadors of Arab and foreign countries, military attaches, political and public figures, and a large number of prominent intellectuals and senior figures of culture, media, journalism, sports and businessmen.

In a speech at the ceremony, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Salem Mubarak Al Shafi hailed the efforts of the founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, and the great legacy His Excellency left, and the tremendous efforts that were made in order for the State of Qatar to reach this goal, this level of development and international prestige.

His Excellency added that this year’s celebration is exceptional, as this anniversary coincides with two other events that deserve celebration – the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Qatar and Egypt, which is currently witnessing a qualitative breakthrough and remarkable cooperation between the two brotherly countries as well as momentum and movement in all fields, and the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the first-ever major sporting event in an Arab and Muslim country.

The World Cup in Qatar is the best and most successful at all technical, organizational and fan levels, His Excellency said. This historic event succeeded in introducing the Qatari civilization, values, culture and identity in the best possible way, and corrected many misconceptions among, and the State of Qatar was able to bring together the peoples of the world regardless of their races and nationalities in one geographic spot, in a bright civilized image dominated by friendliness and mutual respect.

For his part, the Egyptian Prime Minister praised, in a speech at the ceremony, the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and the boom they are currently witnessing, and reviewed the history of relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, expressing hope that the coming period will witness more cooperation and coordination in order to achieve their common interests.

His Excellency expressed his happiness at attending the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the inauguration of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which share fraternal relations and cooperation at various levels, noting that this occasion coincided with the celebration of the National Day of the sisterly State of Qatar.

HE the Egyptian Prime Minister affirmed that the celebration of this dear occasion comes at the end of a special year for the diplomatic relations between the two countries. In last June, HE President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah El Sisi received in Cairo his brother HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, followed by His Excellency’s visit to the State of Qatar in Sep. and in Nov. to participate in the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. These visits expressed Egypt’s pride and support for its sister Qatar in organizing this important tournament at the highest levels, His Excellency the Prime Minister said.

In Khartoum, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Sudan held a ceremony on the occasion of the country’s National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE representative of the Sudanese government and Minister of Social Development, Ahmed Adam Bakhit, with the participation of prominent official and political figures, heads and members of diplomatic missions, dignitaries of the society and fields of culture and media as well as Islamic and Christian clergies.

In a speech at the ceremony, the government representative congratulated the state of Qatar on the National Day, which coincides this year with the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, hailing the distinguished organization of the State of Qatar for this major global sporting event.

The renaissance and progress achieved in the State of Qatar in various fields were thanks to the wise and rational leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, which gave the State of Qatar its high regional and international positions, His Excellency said, hailing the bilateral relations between the two countries, expressing his country’s appreciation for Qatar’s support for Sudan.

For his part, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Sudan Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sada highlighted, in a speech at the ceremony, the great achievements made in the State of Qatar in the political, economic, sports, health, educational and other fields within the framework of the modernization system led by the wise leadership.

Qatar’s hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 demonstrated its civilized identity and capabilities in all fields, His Excellency said, hailing the Qatari-Sudanese relations as solid and historic.

HE the ambassador highlighted Qatar’s firm position in support of the unity, sovereignty and stability of Sudan and its keenness to support bilateral relations between the two countries.

In Mogadishu, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Federal Republic of Somalia held a ceremony on the occasion of the country’s National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, HE Second Deputy Speaker of the House of the People Hon. Abdullahi Omar Abshir, and a number of Their Excellencies ministers, officials, deputies, military leaders, heads and members of diplomatic missions in Somalia.

In Seoul, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Korea held a ceremony on the occasion of the country’s National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Park Bo Gyoon, representing the Korean government, HE Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Chung Woo-taik, a number of officials in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Korean government and the National Assembly, and a number of heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions, international organizations and agencies operating in Korea, and a group of businessmen, representatives of Korean companies and community figures.

In his speech on this occasion, the representative of the Korean government praised the State of Qatar, the impressive organization of the World Cup, and the great boom it witnessed in the cultural field, expressing the Korean government’s desire to expand cultural exchanges between the two countries, especially with the State of Qatar possessing all elements such as ancient traditions and rational leadership, to become a leading country in the cultural field.

For his part, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Korea, Khalid Ebrahim Al Hamar, reviewed, in a speech on this occasion, the importance of the National Day for the Qatari people and its meanings of loyalty to the sacrifices made by the founding fathers, and the meanings of solidarity between the loyal people of Qatar and their wise leadership.

His Excellency touched on the importance of this year’s National Day due to its coincidence with the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, through which the State of Qatar demonstrated impressive organizational, administrative, security and sports capabilities.

His Excellency the Ambassador praised the distinguished relations between the two countries in all fields, especially the political and commercial fields.

As part of its celebration, the embassy held a special exhibition for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and pictures of stadiums and other promotional materials were displayed that reflect the cultural heritage, traditions and ancient customs of the State of Qatar, in addition to a video showing the renaissance that the country witnessed in recent years.

In Tehran, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Islamic Republic of Iran organized a ceremony on the occasion of the country’s National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Energy Ali Akbar Mehrabian, HE Deputy Minister of Interior for Security and Police Affairs Majid Mir-Ahmadi, HE Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Gulf Affairs Ali Reza Enayati, and HE member of the Iranian Shura Council and Chairman of the Qatar-Iranian Friendship Committee, Ali Asghar Khani, and a number of government and Shura Council officials, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to Tehran.

In a speech on this occasion, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammed bin Hamad Al Hajri reviewed the significance and distinction of the National Day this year, as it coincides with the hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 in the State of Qatar.

In Dakar, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Senegal Mohammed bin Kurdi Talib Al Marri, held a ceremony on the occasion of the State’s National Day.

The ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Livestock and Animal Productions, Aly Saleh Diop, representing the government, a number of lawmakers and advisors, businessmen, heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions, representatives of international organizations accredited to Senegal, and community figures.

The speeches delivered by HE the Minister of Livestock and Animal Productions and HE the Ambassador reviewed the distinguished relations between the two countries, while the invitees expressed their wishes for the State of Qatar to continue progress and prosperity.

In Tbilisi, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Georgia Hassan bin Ahmed Al Mutawa organized a ceremony on the occasion of the State’s National Day.

In Rome, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Italian Republic organized a ceremony on the occasion of the State’s National Day.

In Skopje, HE Acting Charge d’Affairs of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Republic of North Macedonia Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani, held a ceremony on the occasion of the State’s National Day. The ceremony was attended by HE Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia in charge of economic affairs Fatmir Bytyqi, HE Minister of Economy Kreshnik Bekteshi, HE Deputy Speaker of Parliament Husni Ismaili, a number of government officials, political leaders and businessmen, and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Macedonia and community dignitaries.

In Asuncion, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Paraguay held a ceremony on the occasion of the country’s National Day.

The ceremony was attended by senior political leaders, officials in the government, the judiciary, MPs of the Senate and Chamber of Deputies of Paraguay, heads of major commercial and economic institutions and businessmen, and a number of heads and representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited to Paraguay.

The ceremony included various segments, a television show on the most important achievements and the developmental renaissance witnessed by the State of Qatar, as well as media materials on Qatar’s hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

On this occasion, the speakers stressed the importance of strengthening and expanding the horizons of relations, noting the mutual visits that took place between officials of the two countries.

In Caracas, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela organized a ceremony on the occasion of the country’s National Day.

In Milan, the Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Milan, Italian Republic, held a ceremony on the occasion of the State’s National Day. The ceremony was attended by HE Chief of the Gendarmerie Police, National Security Officer in the Northern Provinces, Interregional Carabinieri Police Commander, General Gino Micale, HE vice mayor of Milan province Dr. Natalino Mano, a number of officials in the military, the judiciary and the economic sector, a number of accredited Arab and foreign consuls, and society dignitaries in Milan.

In Barcelona, the Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Barcelona, Kingdom of Spain, organized a ceremony on the occasion of the State’s National Day. The ceremony was attended by a number of officials.

In Kuala Lumpur, the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Malaysia held a ceremony on the occasion of the country’s National Day. The ceremony was attended by a number of officials, heads and members of diplomatic missions in Malaysia.
