Doha: In their editorials Tuesday, Qatari newspapers underscored Qatar's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, its defense of Jerusalem, and its condemnation of Israeli extremists' repeated incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of occupation forces. The newspapers also praised Qatar's efforts to enhance the social welfare system for retirees and its adoption of advanced technologies for infrastructure projects.
According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Raya newspaper emphasized that Qatar's dedication to retirees exemplifies a model of loyalty and reflects a social culture that prioritizes people. The newspaper noted Qatar's continuous enhancement of its social welfare system for retirees, viewing them as a vital national asset and key partners in the nation's comprehensive progress. Retirees, who have served the country diligently, deserve support and appreciation for a dignified life.
The editorial highlighted initiatives by the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (Daman) that provide retirees with benefits covering travel, accommodation, entertainment, and shopping at reduced costs. These initiatives, the paper stated, reflect Qatar's vision of improving quality of life and promoting social welfare, ensuring that appreciation for service continues beyond one's working years.
Al-Raya concluded that Qatar's initiatives for retirees serve as a message of loyalty and appreciation, allowing them to enjoy their retirement, relax, and explore new experiences.
Meanwhile, Al-Sharq newspaper reiterated Qatar's firm support for the Palestinian cause and condemned the incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque, considering these actions a violation of international law and an unacceptable provocation to Muslims worldwide. Qatar affirmed that such practices aim to impose a new reality in occupied Jerusalem and warned that they could escalate tensions in the region.
Al-Sharq called for international action to respect international law, protect holy sites, and end violations that could undermine efforts for regional stability.
