Qatari Newspapers Focus on Elderly Rights and Diplomatic Efforts

According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Raya newspaper emphasized the State of Qatar's dedication to senior citizens, highlighting their contributions to society and the nation's development. The paper detailed Qatar's integrated system to protect and care for the elderly, ensuring they remain active in society through healthcare, social protection, and community involvement.

The editorial further explained the cultural significance of the term "Kibar Al-Qadr," which underscores the respect for the elderly in Qatari culture. It highlighted Qatar's efforts to provide specialized services and initiatives that enable older people to lead dignified lives while maintaining their societal roles. Qatar's observance of the International Day of Older Persons on October 1 renews the focus on these issues, celebrating the contributions of older generations.

On the regional front, Al-Watan newspaper discussed Qatar's diplomatic initiatives aimed at mediating between the United States and Iran. The newspaper stressed the importance of reaching a peaceful resolution to enhance regional stability and restore freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. Qatar's history of successful mediation and conflict resolution efforts underpins these ongoing diplomatic activities.
