Qatari Editorials Denounce Al-Aqsa Mosque Incursions and Highlight National Developments

Doha: Al-Watan newspaper has criticized the incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli extremists, emphasizing that these actions are unacceptable and constitute a violation of international law and the historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Watan's editorial on Tuesday reiterated Qatar's condemnation of these violations, underscoring that any unilateral measures aimed at altering Jerusalem's historical and legal status quo are considered null and void under international law. The newspaper described these actions as a blatant violation of international law, an unacceptable provocation to millions of Muslims globally, and a dangerous attempt to impose a new reality in occupied Jerusalem.

Al-Watan also highlighted a warning from Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, noting that the continuation of such violations and provocations could lead to increased violence and instability in the region. The ministry reaffirmed Qatar's firm support for the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people's rights, including the establishment of an independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

In another editorial, Al-Arab newspaper focused on the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) and its strategic plan to develop infrastructure services and public buildings. Ashghal's adoption of advanced technologies and equipment for infrastructure projects marks a significant step towards smart solutions, enhancing efficiency and reducing reliance on traditional labor. These technological advancements allow for quicker project completion and improved quality outcomes.

Furthermore, The Peninsula newspaper highlighted Qatar's initiatives in digital skills development and cybersecurity. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology's Digital Skills Framework (DSF) Roundtable represents a strategic effort to prepare Qatar's workforce for an increasingly digital world. The initiative emphasizes the importance of upskilling and reskilling to support economic diversification and innovation, recognizing that a technologically adept workforce is crucial for navigating future challenges.
