Doha:The Qatar Stock Exchange Index experienced a significant rise on Monday, closing up 99.62 points, or 1.08 percent, at 9,285.05.

According to Qatar News Agency, trading activity was substantial, with 169,438,752 shares being exchanged. The trading value for the session reached QR 432,944,217.698, conducted through 27,380 transactions across all sectors.

Shares of 42 companies saw an increase, while 8 companies recorded losses, and four remained unchanged from their previous closing prices. The market capitalization at the end of the session was QR 562,864,065,506.022, an increase from QR 556,985,360,051.536 in the previous session.

Additionally, the stock exchange recorded two transactions in the bond market, with a total trading value of QR 1.074 billion.
