Doha:The Qatar Stock Exchange index experienced a decline of 203.92 points, equivalent to 2.21 percent, during today's trading session, closing at 9,005.61 points.

According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 137,881,867 shares were traded during the session, with a value of QR 347,142,514.045. The trading activity was spread across 23,677 transactions involving all sectors.

By the end of the trading day, the market capitalization had decreased to QAR 546,048,080,593.668, down from QAR 558,688,428,997.182 in the previous session. The session also saw shares of two companies rise, while shares of 47 others fell, and five companies maintained their previous closing prices.
