Qatar Stock Exchange Index Down 7 Points at Beginning of Wednesday’s Trading

Qatar Stock Exchange index started trading Wednesday with a decline of 6.73 points, or 0.07%, reaching a level of 10,332 points compared to Tuesday’s closing.

Figures released by the stock exchange attributed the negative performance of the general index to a decline of 0.99% in the industrial sector, 0.27% in the real estate sector and 0.10% in the consumer goods and services sector. On the other hand, there was a positive performance in the transportation sector, which increased by 0.65%, the telecommunications sector by 0.34%, the bank and financial services sector by 0.29%, and the insurance sector by 0.10%.

At 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded transactions worth QR 86.518 million, distributed to 35.882 million shares, with implementation of 3057 transactions.
