Doha: Qatar's Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has held a specialized workshop to present and discuss a proposed national strategy on sustainable production and consumption. The initiative, led by the ministry's Green Development and Environmental Sustainability Department, reflects Qatar's efforts to promote more efficient use of resources and align with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.

According to Qatar News Agency, officials said the strategy aims to reduce waste, cut emissions and improve energy and resource efficiency, while supporting local production and encouraging responsible consumption. It also seeks to promote the adoption of clean technologies across key sectors. The workshop focused on implementation mechanisms and methods for measuring outcomes, alongside discussions on the main pillars of the strategy and updates on ongoing studies.
