The State of Qatar participated in the preparatory meeting of the Economic and Social Council for the 32nd regular session of the Arab summit at the ministerial level, which was held in Jeddah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Assistant Undersecretary for Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Finance Dr. Saud Abdullah Al Attiyah represented the State of Qatar at the meeting.
The meeting discussed the Secretary-General’s report on the joint Arab economic and social development work.
The agenda of this session included several important items, including the activation of Arab transport agreements, the progress made in completing the requirements of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area, the establishment of the Arab Customs Union, and the State of Qatar’s hosting of the Web Summit in 2024.
The preparatory meetings for this session began with a meeting at the level of senior officials, in which the State of Qatar participated with a delegation from the Ministry of Finance.
