Qatar Participates in Menart Fair Paris

The State of Qatar is participating in the second Menart Fair Paris.

HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the French Republic Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani inaugurated the Qatari gallery with participation from Eiwan Al Gassar Gallery, which is an important platform for the culture and arts scene regionally and locally in the State of Qatar. A number of Arab Ambassadors accredited in Paris attended the inauguration.

Eiwan Al Gassar Gallery presented the work of three Qatari artists, they are; Hanadi Al Darwish, Fatma Al Shibani, and Ali Dasmal Al Kuwari.

HE Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani toured the Qatari pavilion along with Fair Director Laure dHauteville, and noted that the Qatari participation reflects the country’s commitment to enhancing cultural exchange with the French Republic, and to enhancing bilateral relations. He also noted that such participations reflect the rise of Qatari art, that emerges from its regional and Arab realm onto the international stage.

HE the Ambassador expressed his pride at the participation of Qatari artists who enhance Qatar’s status in the French society through modern arts. He expressed his admiration for the pieces on display, and wished Qatari artists more success.

For her part, dHauteville expressed her happiness with Qatar’s participation for the second year running in the fair that serves as an art platform for the French and Arab public in Paris. She stressed that Menart is a unique fair in the West, heavily supported by prestigious museums and art institutions from around the world.
