The State of Qatar participated in the Arab Forum for Sustainable Development (AFSD), which is being organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) during the period of March 15-17 at the organization’s headquarters in Beirut.

The State of Qatar’s participating delegation in the Forum is headed by HE Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi.

During his speech at the opening session, His Excellency highlighted the State of Qatar’s efforts in dealing with the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and its contribution to international efforts to address this pandemic, by providing support to countries in need and relevant international organizations.
