Qatar National Bank Announces New Deposit Rates for Multiple Currencies

Doha: Deposit rates at the Qatar National Bank (QNB) have been released, indicating varied interest rates across multiple currencies for different deposit durations. These rates, issued on Sunday, provide insights into the financial opportunities available for customers looking to invest in foreign and local currencies.

According to Qatar News Agency, the deposit rates for the US Dollar (USD) are set at 3.66406% for one month, with a gradual decrease to 3.44086% for twelve months. The Japanese Yen (JPY) shows a rising interest trend from 0.58000% for one month to 1.08000% for twelve months. Meanwhile, the Swiss Franc (CHF) presents negative rates, ranging from -0.07000% for one month to -0.12000% for twelve months. The British Pound (GBP) offers a slight increase from 3.67000% for one month to 3.80000% for twelve months.

For local and regional currencies, the Qatari Riyal (QAR) starts at 4.10000% for one month, decreasing to 3.75000% for twelve months. The Saudi Riyal (SAR) maintains a steady rate of 4.30000% from two months to twelve months. The UAE Dirham (AED) begins at 2.05000% for one month and rises to 3.15000% for twelve months. Lastly, the Bahraini Dinar (BHD) shows a downward trend from 4.55000% for one month to 4.25000% for twelve months.

These rates reflect the bank's strategy to cater to a diverse clientele, offering competitive returns on deposits across a range of currencies and durations.
