Qatar Military Trainees Visit Qatar News Agency to Learn About AI Integration

Doha:Officer candidates from Ahmed bin Mohammed Military College visited the Qatar News Agency (QNA) to explore cooperative efforts between government bodies and the country's official media organizations.

According to Qatar News Agency, the visit included a presentation on QNA's work, highlighting recent advancements across its departments, particularly in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. These AI tools have been instrumental in enhancing the agency's daily operations.

HE QNA Director-General Ahmed bin Saeed Al Rumaihi emphasized the role of technology in improving media services. He noted that QNA is actively adapting to technological changes and plans to expand its AI applications in the near future.

Al Rumaihi explained that QNA is leveraging technology throughout the news-production process, from monitoring and analysis to production, publication, and follow-up. The integration of AI technologies has enabled the introduction of new features, contributing to a broader development program that has diversified QNA's output in terms of format and content.

The agency has also broadened its coverage of local, regional, and international events, enhancing its digital platforms and news services, including photography, infographics, and video content.

During their visit, the officer candidates toured QNA's Training Center, gaining insights into specialized training programs available for Qatari media professionals and journalism graduates aspiring to work at QNA or other institutions in Qatar.

The candidates expressed appreciation for QNA's recent developments and its adoption of AI and other modern media technologies in its operations.
