Tashkent: The Qatar men's team won the bronze medal at the AVC Asian U18 Beach Volleyball Championships 2026, taking place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

According to Qatar News Agency, the duo Moussa Alkheer and Mubarak Musa, representing Qatar, defeated the Australian duo Mowen and Symes in straight sets in the third-place playoff match held on Sunday.

The Qatari team had previously faced a setback in the semifinals, where they lost to the Kazakh pair Sagynysh and Agabek by two sets to one, narrowly missing out on a spot in the finals.

Nonetheless, the bronze medal victory was a historic achievement for Qatar as it marked their qualification for the 2026 FIVB U18 Beach Volleyball World Championships for the first time ever. This milestone was secured after an impressive straight-sets victory over Iran in the quarterfinals.
