Doha, – The Qatar International Taekwondo Open championship competitions will begin on Saturday at the Ali bin Hamad Al Attiyah Hall in Al Sadd for three days, with the participation of approximately 887 male and female players, divided into 4 categories, representing 41 countries.

The championship will be held in 4 divisions: children division (171 male and female) cadets division, (183 male and female), juniors division, (208 male and female) and finally seniors division, (244 male and female) The championship competitions will witness ten weights for male and female in the children division, as for cadets division, the competitions will be held according to the height standards of the players, which are: Male: -148, -152, -156, -160, -164, -168, -172, -176, -180, +180 Cm, Female: -144, -148, -152, -156, -160, -164, -168, -172, -176, +176 Cm, as for juniors division: Male: -45, -48, -51, -55, -59, -63, -68, -73, -78, +78kg, Female: -42, -44, -46, -49, -52, -55, -59, -63, -68, +68kg, and finally seniors division: Male: -54, -58, -63, -68, -74, -80, -87, +87kg, Female: -46, -49, -53, -57, -62, -67, -73, +73kg.
