Qatar Foundation’s Showtime! 2026 Concludes with Educational Success

Tunis:The sixth edition of Showtime! 2026, organized by Qatar Foundation's Pre-University Education, has successfully concluded, involving 50 students from six QF schools.

According to Qatar News Agency, the bilingual theatrical production "The Secret of the Garden" featured the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra and provided students with an educational journey that blended creativity with practical application. This experience enhanced their communication and teamwork skills and encouraged them to use Arabic in artistic contexts, aligning with QF's emphasis on providing authentic learning experiences beyond traditional classrooms.

Aisha Al Sultan, a Performing Arts Specialist at Qatar Music Academy within Qatar Foundation's Pre-University Education, highlighted that the educational value of Showtime! extended beyond the final performance. The program involved a comprehensive learning process, including auditions, script readings, rehearsals, and overcoming challenges, culminating in a public performance.

Participating in the production enabled students to cultivate various artistic and personal skills, such as acting, vocal performance, movement, emotional expression, and character understanding. The use of Arabic in this year's production helped students deepen their linguistic skills by applying vocabulary and structures in practical settings.

Al Sultan emphasized the strong connection between the theater experience and classroom learning, noting that Showtime! allows students to apply academic skills in practice. Reading aids in character understanding and script interpretation, language serves as a communication tool with the audience, and music and movement contribute to developing concentration, memory, and coordination skills.
