Qatar Engages in GCC-Canada Strategic Dialogue Meeting

Manama: The State of Qatar participated in the joint ministerial meeting of the GCC-Canada Strategic Dialogue held in Manama, the Kingdom of Bahrain. Leading the Qatari delegation was HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on strengthening the relationship between GCC countries and Canada through enhanced economic and commercial cooperation. It also aimed to coordinate on issues of mutual concern, reflecting on the changing regional and international landscape and the implications for regional security and stability.

The meeting underscored the need to bolster international efforts to protect maritime lanes and ensure the freedom of international navigation, which is crucial for safeguarding shared interests and reinforcing stability both regionally and globally.

In addition, the discussions addressed recent Iranian attacks on multiple countries in the region, including the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The participants expressed strong condemnation and denunciation of these assaults, highlighting the necessity for a unified response to these security challenges.
