Riyadh:The State of Qatar took part in the 16th session of the Arab Ministerial Council for Electricity, held during Riyadh Energy Week in the Saudi capital.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatari delegation was led by HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs, Engineer Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi.

The meeting focused on enhancing regional cooperation within the Arab electricity sector, the exchange of expertise, as well as investment projects and modern technologies aimed at developing Arab energy infrastructure. Arab ministers also addressed reports from specialized committees on renewable energy, energy efficiency, a common Arab electricity market, and the peaceful use of nuclear energy for electricity generation and seawater desalination.
