Cairo: The State of Qatar participated in the extraordinary session of the Council of the Arab League at the level of permanent representatives, concerning Sudan. HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Arab Republic of Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, chaired Qatar's delegation at the session, which took place at the League's General Secretariat, on Sunday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the emergency meeting was convened at the request of the Government of the Republic of the Sudan. The session aimed to address the recent attacks that occurred in Sudan, bringing together permanent representatives of member states to deliberate on the situation. The gathering underscored the commitment of the Arab League to discuss pressing regional issues and seek collective solutions.
