Cairo: The State of Qatar participated Tuesday in the second meeting of the States Parties to the Arab Charter on Human Rights, held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States. The event saw the presence of Fatima Ali Al Hajri, First Secretary at the Human Rights Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representing Qatar.
According to Qatar News Agency, the two-day meeting aims to develop a framework for the guiding principles for implementing Paragraph (3) of Article (45) of the Arab Charter on Human Rights. This initiative is part of the resolution from the 164th session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level. The meeting is a continuation of a series of coordination and consultative meetings on the matter.
