Doha:Qatar has expressed strong disapproval of ongoing settler incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque, which most recently occurred on Sunday with the support of Israeli occupation forces. The Qatari government described these actions as a clear breach of international law and an affront to the sensibilities of millions of Muslims globally.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar issued a statement emphasizing that Al-Aqsa Mosque is a place of worship solely for Muslims. The Ministry declared any attempts to alter the historical and legal status of Jerusalem and its sacred sites as legally void under international law.

The statement further cautioned that these ongoing violations and provocations could lead to increased violence and instability in the region. Qatar called on the international community to urgently pressure Israel to cease its actions against Palestinian people and their holy sites while adhering to international resolutions.

Qatar also reiterated its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, emphasizing the importance of ending the occupation. It underscored the necessity for Palestinians to achieve their legitimate rights, foremost among them the establishment of an independent state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
