Qatar Condemns Israeli Prime Minister’s Entry into Syrian Territory

Doha: The State of Qatar has issued a strong condemnation of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's entry into Syrian territory, labeling it an illegal act. Qatar views this action as a violation of the sovereignty of the Syrian Arab Republic and a breach of international law, posing a threat to regional security.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement on Thursday urging the international community to take immediate measures to ensure that Israel abides by international law, particularly the 1974 Disengagement Agreement. The ministry called for the cessation of what it describes as repeated Israeli attacks on Syrian territory to mitigate further escalation and tension in the region.

The statement also emphasized Qatar's unwavering support for Syria's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. It expressed solidarity with the Syrian people in their aspirations for security, stability, and prosperity.
